Nutcase Helmets

My favorite looking kids helmets are made by Nutcase.

Skuut Bike

The Skuut is probably my all time best "toy" purchase for toddlers. Recommended for ages 2-5, this bike is a great way for your child to learn balance on two wheels, making the transition to a bike without the training wheels easy. But beyond that, it is also super fun, allowing your child to go much faster than he/she would on a tricycle. This bike has held up for us for the past two years without any signs of damage. The seat has three positions and can be adjusted as your child grows. And for great kids helmets my next post is coming up.

Women and Kids Clogs

I've always loved the look of clogs, but let's face it, they're not easy to walk, let alone run in...not suggesting one should run in clogs (unless truly necessary). So, I've been looking around for a clog sandal that is more utilitarian, but still looks like a clog. Not an easy task. I searched on various online shoe stores, through the Swedish Haasbeens (which are great, but a little pricey)...and finally, by chance, I found my ideal pair on Kelly Oxford's blog eject.

Here they are: Handcrafted in France, by Bosabo, a 100 year old family business, where the craft has been passed down from generation to generation. Bosabo also has their own store on their website where you can find a detailed history of the company and other clogs like the kids clogs pictured below.

These beautiful, somewhat eerie handmade dolls are so interesting I can't stop looking at them. Their little clothes are so precious I wish they came in my size.  They can be found at www.evangelione.com.

Nat & Nin

Nat & Nin is a French brand of handbags and accessories founded by two sisters in 2005.  I discovered them in a little boutique in Forcalquier France this spring and haven't been able to get them out of my head. The leather is incredibly soft and the construction impeccable. They also use natural dyes. This model is on my wish list, but they have many different styles that can be found here.

Bit'z Kids - Boy's Hooded Knit Jacket

Just love this little coat for fall and winter. I found it here. It looks very stylish and cozy at the same time. Use coupon rrthankyou to receive 10% off and free shipping.
My other big shoe crush this summer has been Native shoes. They have taken the US by storm and even though I'm not a big fan of plastic/rubber shoes, these are so stylish I couldn't pass them up. They are also very comfortable and come in great colors! You can find them just about anywhere online, but I have to say the best price I have found so far is on Zappos.  My favorite style is The Jefferson (above) because they look like sneakers.

Salt Water Sandal by Hoy

Since I'm on the subject of shoes. Salt Water Sandals are, in my opinion, the perfect sandal for both toddler girls and boys. This model is my favorite because it holds on well to the foot and provides great cushioning. It also goes in the water! (Thus the name) There are many other styles out there and they are great for kids and adults too!

Toddler sneakers by Simple

I have to start somewhere, so I am starting with these very cool sneakers by Simple.  We have gone through 3 pairs so far in different colors and I'm still not tired of looking at them. I love the design and functionality. They are easy to slip on, easy to tie ;), non-marking,  and so comfortable to run and play in. They come in several different colors. And most importantly, Simple uses all sustainable, mixed with organic, mixed with recycled, materials.  You will be amazed at what goes into these sneakers.  You can read about it at simple.com
